Specialties
Trauma
Interpersonal trauma can impact a person’s ability to build trust and maintain relationships. You can’t control what happened to you, but you can choose how you carry pain and build resilience.
Grief
Death doesn’t only leave an absence in your life, it leads to a disconnect from your core self. Processing fear, memorializing your loved one, and reconnecting with joy can help us understand what “acceptance” means to you.
Teens
I offer services for adolescents ages 13-18. Emotional development and identity discovery are central themes for teens. Growing up is hard, so let’s do it together!
Addictions
I am a credentialed alcoholism and substance abuse counselor (CASAC). I’m here to help break stigma surrounding addiction and navigate sobriety.

Book a free consultation
Let’s chat! Booking a 15 minute consultation allows you to ask questions and see if I would be a good fit for your needs. I’ll explain my approach to treatment and guide you through the next steps toward your first session.
Meet Lauren
My Personal Philosophy: It can be common for the challenges of life to lead people to doubt their power. I believe therapy should assist clients in building the confidence necessary to make decisions that will align with their personal goals and values. As a therapist, I serve as the guide rails on the road, but my clients are the ones behind the wheel. It’s my passion to help people understand how their past experiences impact their current functioning. Fear, anxiety, and pain will always be a part of life, but they do not have to prevent you from creating a life where joy and hope can flourish. If you are resonating with this caption and noticing dysfunction in your life, this may be the right place for you.
My Clinical Self: Using evidence-based approaches to therapy helps ensure positive change in a client’s life. I use a combination of CBT, DBT, person-centered therapy, and a trauma-focused perspective in sessions. I am licensed in the states of NY (LMHC) and TX (LPC). I hold additional certifications in grief and addictions. I’ve worked in inpatient settings, schools, dayhab programs for developmentally disabled adults, and private practice settings. Working in diverse settings has allowed me to tailor my work to cater to the unique emotional needs of each client. My clients play an important role in guiding the work we do together.
